couple this week. Please join us again, it was great to hear you read. After
the open we held the One Minute Slam. Heather, Dave K, Meagan, Bill
and Gary each took part in the 3 round just-for-fun slam. The longest poem
clocked in just over the grace period at 1 minute 10.1 seconds. The shortest
poem was a whole 15.9 seconds (and it wasn't a hiaku). At the end of the
slam Bill beat out Meagan by 2/10ths of a point to win the slam. Thanks
to all who took part.

This week another $106 was raised toward the expenses of sending a team to the

We've raised a total of $1493 so far. Thanks to all those who have given money
in support of the team.

We still need to raise a minimum of another $1007 to cover our
expenses. To date the Poets' Asylum has spent $2438.50 on NPS registration,
hotel rooms & airfare to West Palm Beach. We have at least another couple

we thank you for your generosity.
