It is always nice to see folks who haven't made it to the
reading in a while drop in and share their words. Following a cozy open mic
we held an open slam with a twist. Two rookies signed up, honest to
goodness never slammed before poets, and we gave them a 10 point bonus for
taking the plunge. Scores were all over the spectrum, nice to see the range
used as intended. Thanks to Phil, Zeb, Lisa, Danny & Jeff for taking part.
At the end of the night Zeb, one of the rookies, won the slam and took a $25
prize back to college with him.
