Coming up on Sunday, September 13th

Sunday, September 13th, for our regular open mic and a by *Corrina Bain*.
Bain began performing her poetry when she was 14. She has opened for spoken
word legends as diverse as Jim Carroll and Patricia Smith, and is credited
in the lyrics of the Sage Francis album "A Healthy Distrust". She is the
author of a book titled *Ugly Poems For Ugly People*, and has an album in
collaboration with Tom Inhaler called *Distilled*. She has been a member of
4 national poetry slam teams, most recently representing Providence, Rhode
Island.
Come on down to Jumpin' Juice and Java (335 Chandler Street, Worcester). The
reading starts around 6:00 p.m. No cover; please put some money in the
bucket to support the feature. Hope to see you there!

September 6th Revisited
This week the Poets' Asylum welcomed *Scott Woods* to our stage. A consumate
performer Scott brought a mix of laughter and awe inspiring words to the
mic. He kicked off the set with a great piece about why the zombie craze is
just plain crazy. The rest of the set was pure gold. Thanks for sharing your
words with us Scott.
