Coming up on Sunday, March 2

[image: Step up to the Mic] Head over to the Poets' Asylum this Sunday for
the next *Open Qualifying Slam* of the 2008 Worcester Slam Season. The top
two finishers in tonight's slam move on to the Spring semi-final in May.
More info on this thing called Poetry Slam and how they are run at the

Come on down to TheQ Cafe <http://theqma.com/> (362 Chandler Street,
Worcester). The open mic sign-up list goes out around 7:00 p.m. and the
reading starts closer to 7:30 p.m. No cover; please throw money in the
bucket to support the reading.

February 24th Revisited

Hampshire college slammer *Sean Conlon* was our feature this week. His
fourteen poem set consisted mainly of what Sean called his more "academic
work". Sean shared work about heartbreak, Allan Seager, the Holocaust and
first & last times. At times intense, Sean words seems to come from a place
deep within, tumbled with lessons learned, until they shine.

Sou MacMillan @ the Spot next Thursday

Poet, musician and Asylum organizer *Sou MacMillan* will be the feature this
week at *The Spot* at the Hotel Vernon. Run by Bobby Gibbs the reading is
held in the Kelly Square Yacht Club and starts at 7:30 p.m. An open mic
follows the feature. No cover but bring money to buy a beverage and to
support the feature.
