Coming up on Sunday, July 15th
[image: Auctioneer] Please join us on Sunday, July 15th, for the annual *Asylum
Auction*. This is our big event to raise the money needed to get the Slam
team to the 2007 National Poetry Slam. Nationals are once again in Austin,
TX and our expenses include registrations, airfare, and lodging for the team
and coach. All told we expect to need over $3000 this year. We've raised
over $1200 to date so this event is very important to us. Please tell your
friends, family and anyone with some spare cash. :-)
Come on down to the Java Hut, 1073A Main Street, Worcester. Open mic sign-up
goes up around 7:00 p.m. with the reading and auction starting somewhere
there after.
Details on all our fund raising events plus our partnership with the
Worcester County Poetry Association for tax-deductible donations can be
found on the Fund Raising 2007
<http://www.poetsasylum.org/fr2007.html>page. As always thank you for
your support.

July 8th Revisited
Fantastic feature this week from our very own *Alex Charalambides*. A fine
mix of crowd favorites, less frequently shared works and a handful of covers
kept the audience engaged and wanting more. Nice job Alex, keep up the hard
work.
