Remembering Ken Hunt

Ken Hunt Ken Hunt, performance artist, poet, journalist, teacher and activist died on March 22, 2005. An amazing poet, he brightened up every open mic and coffee house he walked into. Ken had a strong connection to the Poets' Asylum, featuring here numerous times and leaving his mark on the souls of many local poets. He will be missed dearly.

A native of Seattle, Ken graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in journalism and Spanish. He has written for the Seattle Times, New York Times and Austin Chronicle, as well as published in many community and weekly papers. In Boston he was a reporter and producer for the Allston-Brighton Edition, a progressive public affairs news program. He was most recently based in Chicago teaching English as a second language.
